Annamaria Trusso joined EUA in 2006 as Editor.
A Modern Languages graduate of “La Sapienza” university in Rome, she started her working life as a teacher of English in Italian state schools. Her European career began in 1979 in the School Education Division of the Council of Europe where she was responsible for schools’ projects and later helped develop the Council’s intercultural education policy.
In 1985 she moved to Brussels and joined the then Office for Cooperation in Education which was to become the ERASMUS Bureau in 1987 where she was responsible for the Short Study Visits of the Erasmus programme.
Before joining EUA, Annamaria worked as European Education Manager for the Royal Society of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) with the specific responsibility of helping European universities gain accreditation with the RICS in the fields of real estate, valuation and related areas.
